On Sunday my Carter House Inns Garden was on the Humboldt Botanical Garden Tour. I was told to expect about 800 people through the garden. While I do not know actual numbers it was a lot of people. Overall it went spectacularly well, if you don’t include the back breaking amount of labor that went into getting that garden ready. I was thrilled by the crazy number of compliments I received and by the look of true delight on people faces as they stepped through the garden’s gate.
My friend Anh lived in this building… I had actually been in it several times. Anh is a really, really great guy- a talented artist, smart, caring and really funny. He lost all his possessions yesterday. I haven’t had a chance to speak with him, but I’m trying to solicit donations from folks just so he can get back on his feet. If you have anything you could spare, please shoot me an email.
I love this clip… notice how smoothly he pulls his hand to the best position, then delivers a descisive blow. This is a metaphor for how his presidency is going to go… he’ll bide his time getting things set up where he wants them, and then take the action he needs to in a second, all while never losing composure. I love this guy.
