Many of you may remember how I used to have a weird story about my home town for every occasion. I just remembered one I thought I’d share- A couple years ago, a convenience store in Deer Isle changed hands. The new owners changed the name from “Little Gulls” to “Dilligaff’s”

No one new what Dilligaff’s meant at first, but then word got around that it stood for “Do I Look Like I Give A Flying Fuck”

Class, all the way.

Governmental Collapse

Below is a post Lucas made back in March of 2007. Given the state of things, I thought a repost was in oder:

On 60 Minutes last night Steve Kroft spoke with the Comptroller General of the United States David Walker about his media tour across America to let us all know about the impending collapse of the federal government due to our current debt load, spending and impending costs of entitlement programs for the baby boomers. The thing is that pretty much everybody agrees with this guy. Itâ€™s the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about.
